Deliverables:

  • Review and provide assurance that the contractor's requirements have been structured and includes artefacts pertaining to the Subsystem and system as a whole. These include:
    • Safety Argument: graphical representation of evidence demonstrating that each of the safety goals has been achieved
    • Hazard Analysis: contains the detailed analysis behind the information contained in the Hazard Log.
    • Hazard Log: contains the results of the hazard analyses.
    • Safety Data Sheets.
    • System Safety Program: summary of the safety engineering and safety management processes undertaken to achieve the safety outcomes of the Project.
    • Reference Material: reference index of evidence cited during the conduct of the System Safety Program.
  • Prepare a report to align with deliveries detailing the System Safety Program and risks. The final report will be used as Certification compliance.

About the Role
Aris Zinc Group is looking for an experienced Policy and Technical Writer in the head office with government experience to support policy development, standard operations procedures, process mapping and user guides, governance documentation, and audit preparation aligned with ESG or ISO or ITIL frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage policies, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure documentation meets ISO 27001, SOC2, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Collaborate with security and audit teams to produce audit-ready artefacts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems.


Skills and Experience

  • Previous government experience (APS4-6 equivalent).
  • Proven ability to write policies and procedures aligned with ISO standards.
  • Experience in audit, governance, and risk documentation.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Senior Audit and Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Review current system security controls and implement remedial actions;
  • Develop and operate systems to monitor and analyse security logs and event information;
  • Develop and operate systems for security automation;
  • Guide technical staff on implementation of security controls;
  • Analyse and assess ICT system security documentation and configuration, including the use of vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment and facilitate team work and group activities.
  • Interpret business objectives, adapt, and adjust priorities to progress work and meet business objectives.
  • Provide support to the Technical Leadership


Technical Skills
Essential:

  • Proven knowledge of information security principles, practices and technologies.
  • Proven experience in the development and administration of ICT security systems and applications.
  • Experience with Linux systems and programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering Windows or Linux operating systems and core ICT network services.
  • Experience in development of use cases, procedures and technical documentation to ensure delivery of security services.


Desirable:

  • Experience managing security data pipelines
  • Bachelor's degree or qualification in ICT or area relevant to the essential requirements.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in ICT environment, with minimum 3 years working as a Security Engineer.
  • Experience working for Defence and/or Intelligence environments. Government experience should be noted.
