Communications Technician

• Location - Canberra, ACT
• Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
• Length of Contract: 19 months

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering advice and assurance on system design, integration, and verification activities across all relevant contracts.
• Develop, review, and endorse complex engineering documentation,
  including system specifications, design packages, and technical risk
  registers.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks and uncertainties,
  implementing mitigation strategies and influencing project decision making.
• Mentor and guide Level 2 engineers, fostering technical capability
  development and promoting best practice engineering processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering inputs
  across all discipline streams, ensuring alignment with program objectives.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, related field and/or equivalent experience.

Experience/Skills Sought:
Factors to be take into account in planning and implementation include:

• Identification of Product Engineering function scope, roles, skills, Technical Authority level, responsibilities and effort for each Product team engineering process to achieve scheduled Product releases, taking into account factors including:
• Disaster recovery, incidents, failures or outages affecting System reliability and/or availability.
• Defining and providing an effective System Safety Management System, including conduct of regular System Safety Working Groups.
• Interfaces with other capability systems.
• The need to adjust to align with changes in Government, Departmental, Capability Manager Requirements.

Cyber Engineer #2

• Location - Brindabella Business Park, Canberra ACT
• Australian Citizens with NV2 Clearance
• Length of Contract: 6 months

Duties include:

• Accountable to conduct complex security risk assessment and provide
  advice on the application of procedural security controls.
• Understand the security features and capabilities of current Defence and industry accepted hardware and software products and provide advice.
• Provide complex specialist advice to explain systems security and the
  strengths and weaknesses.
• Interpret security policy and contribute to the development of standards that comply with Defence policy and procedures.
• Actively maintain knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms and provide advice regarding the application of their specialism(s) to the organisation.
• Review information system designs for weaknesses and potential breaches in security.
• Defence experience is mandatory

• More than 5 years' experience scheduling in the Defence environment.

Engineering and Technical Services

• Location - ACT
• Australian Citizens with TSPV Clearance
• Length of Contract: 19 months
• The role closes on 24th December 2025

Responsibility:

• Ability to integrate with the established engineering team.
• Cyber Engineering and Validation.
• Support Requirements Elicitation.
• Support System Security.
• Support and document V&V efforts and maintaining requirements traceability.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (Master's degree in Systems Engineering is preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer 
• Demonstrated experience in system testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet performance and reliability standards.
• Demonstrated experience with cyber security in Defence.
• Have previously held or the ability to hold a technical delegation

Experience:

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high quality, reliable solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation such as plans, procedures and reports.

Highly Desirable Experience:

• Defence and tactical communications qualifications and/or experience.
• Experience in fault analysis and the use of IT network support tools and support management processes.
